Spring cleaning

Oops, there seems to be a thick layer of dust on my blog! I haven't posted anything since ... er, since Nano 2010 started, which is ridiculous, seeing as I started it to blog about Nano. It's just, well, with Write-ins and Days of Writing Dangerously and all the writing I had to do, I'm afraid its little cries for attention went completely unnoticed. I profoundly apologise and have now changed the all over look of it to make up for this cruel and heartless neglect.
If you want to know, and maybe you do, I WON! I did my usual thing: Started one project, threw it to one side and started another mid-Nano. But hey, it works for me! In the end I got 35+K written on the story about Jack, who was and still is in the cellar, but this time bleeding. I ironed out a lot of problems and illogical and contrived plot devices along the way and discovered at least ten new characters who belonged in the story. I just love it when that happens. Jack is now my RP, my Research Project, and I keep making notes and gathering info about his times and places in preparation for The Day When I Have Time to Concentrate On It.
But what about the 15+K I threw away? Well, that's another story for another time, a totally different project that needs a different approach. I can't just seat-of-my-pants it. It'll be my PP - my Passion Project. I'll take it slow and make it really special.

At the moment I am trying to make more people coming to Write-Ins so I can carry on with my WIP (Write-In Project/Work In Progress), a Norwegian feelgoody story which is fun to write. I have decided to finish it for the sake of actually finishing something, because without a finished first draft there will never be a finished novel. So there. This year I am going to finish a project, no matter what.

And on that slightly scary note I scurry off to do my work and make my notes and watch some Nordic Combined, as you do.
